As project lead at Event Communication, I led this strategic positioning project for the company, working with the Iolaire Centre Trustees on a strategy and action plan for the planned new Iolaire Centre on the Isle of Lewis in the Hebrides.

I led the client relationship and the strategic planning and stakeholder consultation elements of the work, devising an engagement plan and strategy and consulting widely across the island. We spoke to over 200 people, with more consulted through surveys, including council leads, business and tourism groups and local community groups. This work was bolstered through extensive desk research identifying wider strategic drivers and aligning with these, identifying audience typologies and behaviours, identifying the broader heritage landscape and benchmarking success.

Consultation used mixed methods, from workshops to interviews and surveys. We created a bespoke engagement toolkit to ensure engagement was creative and engaging and improved wellbeing and social connections as well as driving our thinking.

This resulted in a strategic report, supported by a consultation report and feeding into a detailed action plan, all of which I authored. This work fed into the design work carried out by the broader team at Event Communication.

At the project close, we presented our thinking back to the community, and took further questions before finalising the reports.
